Roman Aqueduct 0804
Constructed during the first or second century AD, during the reign of either Emperor Vespasian or Nerva, the aqueduct carried water to Segovia from the Fuente Fría river, about 17 km (11 mi) from the city. At its tallest, the structure, built of unmortared granite blocks, reaches a height of 28.5 m (93 ft 6 in). The Old Town of Segovia and its aqueduct have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.
